I've always maintained the position that the coaltion forces were wrong to go into Iraq in the first place, but as soon as they toppled Saddam they should have left if they really cared for the Iraqi people. The reality is that they allowed the situation to get to the level of sectarian violence, no-go areas, al-Qaeda mini-states, Shia mini-fiefdoms, and all the rest of it, whilst fleecing the oil and other resources.
