that's a good one

i saw a bunch in the past month or so. let's see.

The Darjeeling Limited: boooring. i laughed about 4 times.
The Kite Runner: they butchered one of my favorite books. while i cried through the last third of the book, most of the sad scenes in the movie made me laugh (well, definitely except for the rape scene). the movie was completely devoid of emotion, especially since they portrayed certain characters as more (or less) sympathetic for no apparent reason.
Shortbus: interesting, but um... basically pornographic. im not exaggerating.
Notes on a Scandal: interesting and engaging. my favorite of all the ones i've seen recently
El Crimen del Padre Amaro: well done and interesting, but left too many questions unanswered. gael garcia bernal is
Walk Hard: vaguely funny, but i fell asleep
Baby Mama: cute and often laugh-out-loud funny, but the ending was way too convenient to be acceptable.
