Default Re: McCain's "Spiritual Guide" Wants America to Destroy Islam

I kind of think this pastor business gets blown out of proportion. Think about it, we all (I hope) go to Mosques every week. Do we really know the personal oppinions of the imam? If we did know, would we stop going to the Mosque and distance ourselves from his views? If the imam was found to have an extremist attitude, how would we feel if the media jumped on it and labeled all the people who attend that Mosque as extremists?

I'm not saying I like McCain, but to lambast him based on the personal oppinions of his pastor seems a little unfair to me. McCain being Republican, he HAS to court the evangelical vote, but it doesn't necessarily mean that he himself personally agrees with the evangelical position on everything.
