It makes me so happy to see little things sometimes. Like for example there is a guy, a friend of a friend, who recently got married. He is desi and young and has never been married. He married an American white convert divorcee with two kids (she's much older than him of course). His entire family is so loving and accepting of her and the couple are so happy mashallah. Little things like this are what keeps my faith in humanity from completely disappearing. *sigh*

I need some advice. My husband's best friend is getting married this weekend. My husband's friends will all be there so of course he won't be hanging around me...so I run the risk of hanging out with old Arab aunties the entire night because 1) I wont know anyone and 2) there is a high chance that there will be no girls my age...plus I've never been to an Arab wedding so I have no clue what to expect (they're a bit on the conservative side..Palestinian/Jordanian if that helps). My husband has asked me twice 'are you sure you want to go?' and I said yes. My reasoning is that this guy is really close to my husband (they even used to be roommates) and he's getting
married
. 5, 10 years down the line when we're all over at each others' houses it will be really weird to think that I didn't go to their wedding...my
husband's best friend's wedding
. But I'm still undecided
arab weddings are fun
