Default Re: 10,000 killed in Burmese cyclone

Inna lillah wa inna ilaih raji'oon

Things like this really make you pause and reflect, or they should if we think about them.

Just think, on Friday these 10,000 people woke up thinking it was going to be another day. They just went about their lives, thinking about the things they had to do, thinking they had plenty of time to do things, plenty of time to put right things that were wrong, plenty of time to grow old and do things, and achieve things. Just like us. And they were all wiped out in one day. All their plans, and procrastinations, and hopes wiped out.

But we just read this, feel bad for a couple seconds, and then carry on doing whatever it is we were doing, and don't really think about it too much. We don;t really imagine it's going to happen to us. It happens to "them", not us.
