Default Re: Really nice strangers

CaramelCandy: This didn't happen to me but last summer when I was working at Walgreens in the pharmacy a lady came to pick up her prescription but said she couldn't afford it. So I tried calling other pharmacies to see if I could get it at a cheaper price and do a price match for her. The cheapest I could go down was $40 dollars but that was still too expensive for her so she said she'd have to find the money somehow and come back later. So she left and I helped the next customer in line and he overheard my conversation with the lady and offered to pay for her antibiotics. I called the lady and told her what happened and she was speechless and really grateful for kind people and told me to give him a big thank you next time I saw him. He said he didn't need a thank and was happy to help.

That really is so sweet.

I doubt that I'm suppose to do it but at one of my jobs, if people are short, I either give the remaining or just have my drawer short. I'm not going to deny a person their medicine or their babies diapers. Now if they are short for make-up, then they are just **** out of luck, but for things that are a necessity...I can't deny them of that, unless they are short by a lot and then it's like, sorry.
