Default Re: Moving Out

I looked at Ikea's website just now and the prices (while not outrageous) are probably not the best deal out there. What I am doing, slowly but surely, is getting kind of in-betweeners for furniture, utensils, appliances and the like that are free online but do what I need them to do. That way, I've got something sufficient until I can save up and get top of the line stuff for the house, and when I drop the cash on something nice, it's something REALLY nice.

You may not want to go that route, but it might be something to think about.

EDIT: Also, as far as internet and stuff goes, you can probably find a deal on the high-speed internet connection that it's either free or very cheap for the first three months. The first few months we lived in our house, the cable tv, DSL, and phone were together $30/month. That way, your husband will be around by the time the promotion wears off.
