You say that whoever says that his women must not speak softly to be:

1) Backward
2) Selfish
3) Woman haters

So I have a question: Was the Prophet [s] backwards, selfish, and a woman hater when he [s] desired that his wives observe strict purdah?

You always say that "dirty Sunni men" want to cover their women because "they can't control their own desires". So did the Prophet [s] want to have his wives seclude themselves because he [s] couldn't control his desires?

A few things about this verse.

The phrase "you are not like any other women" can easily be interpreted to mean that the Prophet's wives are not like the dishonorable and shameful women of jahiliyyah.

It is similar to if I said: "O Islamicans, you are not like any other people, you are Muslims and you should heed the word of Allah".

Does this mean that only Islamicans are to do that?

Secondly, you say that the verse says that "if you are righteous, then do not speak too softly"....refraining from speaking softly must be righteousness; therefore is not singing softly considered unrighteousness. Why then are you asking a Muslim woman--Mais Shalash--to sing softly and be unrighteous?

In fact you are asking her to be like the women of jahiliyyah.

"O wives of the prophet, you are not like any other women. If you are righteous, then do not speak too softly, lest those with disease in their hearts will move with desire; you shall speak in an honourable manner. You shall settle down in your homes, and do not be about like the olden days of ignorance. " (Quran)

So NOT speaking softly is equated to being HONORABLE. Speaking softly then is what? Dishonorable? How then can you ask a Muslim woman to speak softly and be dishonorable.

The verse says "like the olden days of ignorance", meaning anyone who does that is being a jaahil.

It does not say "do not be about like other believing women".

Rather it says

"do not be about like the olden days of ignorance"

So all this behavior was associated with jahiliyyah. HENCE, WOMEN SPEAKING SOFTLY IS JAHILIYYAH.

Do you doubt that men will be swayed with carnal desire when they hear her sing?

Heck, you ADMIT it that some men are like that...you say that Sunni men are like that, so this is you admitting that her singing like that will cause women to be dishonored.
