Default Re: Getting Old.... So Old.

Salika: Haha I did that once (counted white hairs) and the next time he came and saw me told me to count them but I couldn't find any! He surprised me by dying his hair

Lol awwww! Mine colored his hair once, but I like how he has a couple grays. I can't wait for him to get the salt n pepper look. I think it's sexy [yes I know, I really do have a thing for old guys].

IbnMardhiyah: Unless I'm horribly mistaken, I thought nabeyuna Muhammad forbade men to dye their hair black if it was previously black and had now turned gray or white. They were allowed to dye it other colors such as dark reddish / brown with henna, of course.

Not to get into a Hadith battle, because we all know it's pointless to get into one with me, but I always understood that one to mean older men, who are visually old looking, dying their hair black. It looks stupid. Even on old ladies it looks stupid. It's such a fierce dark color, it looks unbelievably unnatural against a wrinkly aged face. But if the guy is still young, then what's the problem?

Salika: no, you're right, but his hair isn't black, it's dark brown and he just dyed it dark brown. I know in the pictures his looks black though...

Dark brown? Really? It does look black but I understand what you mean in photos etc. Mine has the blackest of black, which I hope our kids will inherit.
