If I want to lose weight fast (about 5 - 7 lbs) do I need to up the amount of exercise?

you can rule out the yoga in terms of caloric expenditure..it's not doing anything weight loss related. just toning and helping with flexibility and endurance etc.
same for the crunches and lunges...they only do a little. it's basically like the cherry on top..you dont really need it but it's nice.
so youre left with just the elliptical..and 3 times a week for 20 mins isnt enough..shoudl be at least 30 minutes 5 times a week for the amt of weight youre looking to lose, along with some light weights beforehand.
as a general rule the lesser weight you have to lose or the closer you are to your goal weight, the longer it takes to get rid of the extra. it's kind of like, you're already semi fit, it doesnt take a lot for you to start gasping for breath. so you have to push yourself really hard outside of your comfort zone to get the results youre looking for
but it's not like impossible by ANY means..a little pushing out of your zone will get you far.
i recommend a book called 28 day body shapeover
