Default Re: for those who live in chicago

Usmania has wonderful biryani...but Ghareeb Nawaz is A LOT Cheaper...

We have halal Chinese on Devon as well.

I'd recommend the Maghrebi part of town though, Nothing beats a nice sit down meal at Tassili.

Really depends on what kind of culture you're in the mood for, Devon avenue is basically desi town, Masjid: Jamia.

Elston between montrose and Pulaski is African 3arab. Masjid: MCC

Lawrence to Montrose Kimball to Kedzie is all Shami 3arab. Masjid: Makki

On Belmont down past Cicero you have the Khaliji Part of Town. Masjid: MEC

Thats the North Side though, A lot of Immigrant communities up there,

Down South You have the African American Masjids, where you'll find a lot of interesting stuff, Like Halal Mexican Food, Halal Soul Food, etc.

Its a bit more mixed down south so I really recommend it.
