No man, Oregon Trail would make an AWESOME movie!!! Especially if they made in incredibly tragic (like the way we used to play it on the Apple IIE at school, seeing how fast we could make everyone die), and had my uncle narrate it. I drove to Boise with my Uncle when I was a kid, and on the way there you basically follow the western edge of the Oregon trail. He pointed out EVERY SINGLE GRAVEYARD along the way! Apparently one of my ancestors kept a really detailed journal about their trip out west, and she would mention all the aweful things that happened during the journey.

It would be such a depressing movie that it would be sure to get Best Picture and such. Just think of it, you walk half-way across the US, one of your children dies, and another is seriously maimed along the way. You finally arrive at your homestead after several months of travel. That's not the end though, now you have to BUILD YOUR HOUSE, plant your crops, and work like mad, otherwise you won't make it through winter, which is only a few months away. Durring winter, you have another baby, which dies of pneumonia.

That movie would ROCK!!!
