That is indeed a hefty statement to make, I'm assuming you have been in several fights against elite wrestlers in order to make such a statement. I am sure the countless number of Mixed Martial Arts Champions and first rate contenders who come from a wrestling backgrounds would beg to differ. It is literally impossible to compete nowadays without wrestling experience. Some of these men even had the distinction of representing Cal-Poly in the legendary Division 1 NCAA Pac-10 tournaments. They have gone on to find success in the Abu Dhabi Invitational Submission Wrestling tourney and in the UFC, PRIDE, Elite XC, WEC, etc
But assuming as you're a man of honor, I must advise you that it would not be very wise of you to make that statement without proving it. Now I might propose that you find a respectable young man with a wrestling background who can be up to 20 lbs lighter than you and challenge him for a friendly exhibition. However, if you choose not to I can only ask that you not slander one of the most historical displays of athletic prowess. Wrestling has proved time and time again to be a most valuable art amongst manking, throughout history men and women all over the world have engaged in this noble tradition even our Nabi SAW and his Sahaba RA often engaged in it.
Check out the Hadith narrating Muhammad SAW 3 pin fall victories over Rukannah, the D-1 NCAA Champion of the Arabian Peninsula during that time. These losses humbled him and led to him becoming Muslim. There are other narrations that indicate it was a popular practice amongst the Sahabah. Great Catch Wrestlers such as Gama, Imam Bux, Stan Zybysko, Bruno Samartino, Frank Gotch, etc would also take great exception to your hefty statement. As would the Luchadores of Mexico. Wrestling has been taught to men for self-defense since the beginning of time, all militaries were trained in it. Even the great Pugilists of the 20th Century such as Jack Dempsey, James Jeffries, Sam Langford, Gene Tunney, etc cross-trained in wrestling to supplement their pugilistic supremacy. I can post an entire thread in the Sports section if you desire.
So please sir I must advise you to not get entangled with such a hefty statement because many would want you to eat your words and I am personally horrified (well not really) at the repercussions you may endure as a result

I'm not going to get in a pissing contest with you.

I agree the contest is off, it would not only be an insult to us but it would also induce great envy amongst some of the male spectators.

This is the dumbest, machismo-esque, racist argument I've ever seen on Islamica. And that's saying a lot.

I find this statement most outrageous, has the Ummah become so metrosexual that it is now considered "macho" to simply engage in polite banter regarding honorable forms of athletic competition. By golly it is a shame that you have been accustomed to this barbaric age of "I'll sue you" as opposed to the chivalrous days of old where a friendly exhibition was all that was needed to mend fences.
racist? I'm sorry but for some reason that term totally diminishes from my vocabulary the second I arrive in Islamica. It's just that we see the word flung around so often it's value has totally depreciated and it no longer bears any meaning.
