Lol, those poor street dogs are skinny and mangy as hell. They won't be any good on a farm. You need a working breed.

I think a pitbull or a rotty is a good choice for a farm.. Depends what you want to do with it. If you want it to herd sheep, then maybe another breed would be more suitable, like wheelwork's alsation suggestion. But if you want it for general work around the farm, and protecting the property then a pitbull or a rotty is a good idea.
