Default Re: official 'i'm doing terrible in school' thread

I keep getting A's on my exams Alhamdulillah, but participation and homework grades are pretty bad because I often forget due dates for assignments and I miss too much class When college gives you freedom to organize your academic life, most of us seem to take things way too easy.

At the private high school I went to I had classes from 8 to 3, and then after school requirements till 6, and I even had Saturday classes until noon. On average I would have an essay to write every other week, and missing class resulted in Saturday night detention for 2 hours. It was kind of like prison in that they tried to dictate much of your life and I didn't really like most of what I had to do, but it did cause me to have a good work ethic and a very high level of ability in completing tasks.

Maybe if you could be under that kind of discipline for something you love to do, you would really become an extremely productive person.
