Ditto. I sort of don't want to do academics, because research makes me want to , I really just want to be able to teach residents and students. Though, if I have residents or students to do the actual work, and I can just plan clinical research projects...I'm an awesome supervisor :crackwhip: .

When you really love what you do and can instill that in another person.... It's so much fun to see the light bulb go off. The only part of my medicine sub-internship that was fun was working with the third-year students. Since I had a little more knowledge/experience than them, I was able to help with some problem-solving, and they appreciated it too. I think.

I taught SAT for Kaplan, and worked at school as a lab TA. But I was much shyer then, so I don't think I was all that effective. I'm no longer so quiet (and even more dangerous ).
