FDA is a joke. Why is it that that the Chinese and Indian govts regulate this traditional medicine, but the fda refuses to admit any medical benefits of green tea? Because of the power of the pharmacutical companies and their greed thats why. In fact, I have been visiting quite a few number of herbal medicine shops in chinatown recently. You will be amazed at how many non-asians are thier customers. Im not surprised, because of the healthcare system is a joke in this country, while greedy doctors, pharmacutical companies, and hospitals make a killing. Remember that the next time some idoit desi is showing off about being a doctor. Or all you silly desi chics demanding rich doctors for husbands - their money comes off of human misery.
Now i have been reading quite a number of medical journals and papers from tests conducted by the university of hong kong in China. And One test found that Longjing (Lung Ching in Chinese meaning "dragon well") green tea has the highest amount of catechins in thier tea. This is important especially to prevent cancer or for cancer patients. Each cup could get as high as 200mgs of catechinse out of Longjing Green Tea. Not only that, WHITE TEA has the highest amount of catechines needed. One chinese doctor wrote "white tea combined with green tea is the most powerful anti-cancer medicine in the world". So i decided to try this out. I bought a small box of white tea, direct from china, and it was very cheap too. It was second-grade peyone white tea, called "Bai Cha" in Mandarine Chinese. Xi Hu Loong Ching Cha (Sheee Hoo Looong Ching means West Lake Dragon Well Tea) Is dragon well tea. On day one i drank one cup of white tea, and one cup of longjing green tea. I was amazed beyond anything. I can feel it rushing throughout my entire body. I have never been breathing better and easier in my life. I could feel all my organs of my body, including my lungs, healing and repairing itself. When I woke up the next day, I could see the results were beyond amazing. The longer you steep, which is leave the tea bag in the cup of water, such as 5 - 10 mins, the higher the catechin count in that cup you will recieve. Think of it as a dose. How this powerful medicine that can sell for so cheap is beyond amazing to me.
Now some merchants will claim that higher grade, freshly picked longjing green will have higher catechin counts. But according to the research that I read out of China, their research was done on longjing green tea in tin cans and drinks that were purchased in a local hong kong supermarket. So this means that as long as the process used is longjing, the higher grades really dont mean much in terms of catechin counts, EGCG. And keep your tea refigerated too, to keep the leaves fresh. This will bring out more catechines, more polynemols and higher anti-oxidants in the tea. Dont dilute it, with milk or honey or sugar, you will only destroy the medicine. If you drink for medicinal value, then think of it as medicine, not as a drink. btw, the tests done, were done using chemical analysis.
