Default Re: Sex therapist to the Muslim World

ChotooMotoo: At least that's why my mom gave me "the talk" before I got married,

Unfortunately, that isn't the case for many children. Their parents leave them in the dark, expecting them to find their own way. If their own parents won't educate them on the Islamic etiquette of sex and relationships- who will? The media? The internet? A friend who is just as naive as they are or maybe a friend who is experienced yet unmarried? The non-Muslims? Who will it be? MashaAllah, this sister is counseling married couples in the privacy of her clinic and then MashaAllah, has the courage and faith to go on television to educate her viewers from an Islamic perspective on a topic that is normally and sadly viewed as taboo to speak of. She gives the uneducated a way to becoming educated. Even if one is shy, they can still call in anonymously or reading her writings to have their burning question answered based upon the teachings of Islam. I can only imagine the level of negative feedback she is receiving, a few of the replies in this thread are just a drop in the ocean, and can only pray for her- pray that she continues to do the work that she does and pray that no harm comes to her because of the work that she does. Ameen.
