Raising that many kids isn't too difficult, especially if both husband and wife are pitching in with plenty of time, sweat and love. My parents raised six healthy kids mashallah, and I know other families that have more kids than us.

I suspect some girls just unconsciously think its the latest fad to display extreme revulsion at the thought of having more than two or three kids.

Come on ladies, MAN UP.
That's just great and I know people with 6 kids too. I have four siblings so that's a pretty large family too (aren't most Muslim/desi families?). But that doesn't mean it's not hard.

And some girls just don't want that many for various reasons, not 'cause it's a "fad" to not want a lot of kids (which I don't think it is; I actually think it's not that practical and a lot of a bother). 0-3 does it for me. Maybe 4 if I adopt one/a couple.
