Unfortunately this sort of thing happens far too often. There must be a solution to this kind of thinking. I hear people say quite often in these forums that this is about culture not Islam. However, the culture is a part and parcel of their belief system that helps to justify their actions. Are Muslims taking practical steps to stamp this barbarity out? I saw and posted an article about women in some of the most powerful Arab families in Israel speaking out against honor killings after losing too many female members to this form of murder. At least that is a start, but more needs to be done. this crime happened in England but it is repeated in so many other places around the world. Does anyone have any suggestions about changing this thinking that leads to this? Where do we begin?
