Where else would you put a snake, lizard, tarantula, or frog? Or ants?
And fish belong in tanks too. I think hamsters/guinea pigs/mice/rats belong in cages too. You can't let them run around.
Birds too, to some extent. Ours were caged sometimes, but they were out most of the time too... that's why one flew away, heh.
Rabbits... ours were in the backyard most of the time, but sometimes they were in a cage. Rabbits poop and breed way too much... that's why I wouldn't want any again.
